Technician / Handyman

**Position: Technician / Handyman**

**Location: YMCA Penang**

**Employment Type: Full-time Permanent**

This role is essential in ensuring our environment is safe, functional, and welcoming for our guests, members and staff.

**1. Job Scope & Tasks**
- Perform general maintenance tasks, including furniture repairs, electrical appliance changes, and minor renovations
- Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance of electrical systems and equipment
- Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues, ensuring compliance with safety standards
- Assist with minor plumbing, carpentry, and HVAC repairs
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition
- Work with the Building & Amenities team and respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies
- Knowledge in aircon servicing is a plus

**2. Qualifications**:

- Proven experience as a handyman with strong electrical skills
- Knowledge of basic plumbing, carpentry, and HVAC systems
- Ability to read technical manuals and blueprints
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certifications are a plus
- Availability: Willing to work 6 days a week with 1 rest day
