Diet Aide

**Job Summary**

Indent patient’s meals, distributes accordingly and provides hot and cold water and cancel/change diet when necessary.

**Responsibilities**:

- Update diet board and prepare dietary information for kitchen personnel in preparation of foods for inpatient and new cases.
- Distribution of patient’s meals.
- Liaise with nursing staff on matters relating to all aspect of nutrition such as Nourishing Fluids, clear fluids, special diet etc.
- Maintain a clean and safe patient’s unit, tidy and clean the patient’s room (locker, cardiac table)
- Replenish and top up patient’s hot and cold water twice a day and when necessary.
- Assist patient to make drink when required.
- Cancel patient’s diet on discharge. Inform Food and Beverage Department whenever there are meals to be transfer out to other unit / ward.
- Collect back patient’s food tray when necessary, help Hospital Aide in attending call bell promptly if the Hospital Aide are busy.
- Helping in feeding of patients when needed except tube feeding.
- Keep and update inventory of trays, jugs and flasks to Head Nurse.

**Qualification and Requirements**
- Minimum SPM (have Diploma in Halal Food/Industry/Management will be advantage)
- Have experience working in halal food industry will be added advantage
- Able to speak English and Bahasa Malaysia

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: RM1,500.00 - RM1,700.00 per month
