**Job Type**: CDM (Contract Direct Hire) - after completing 12 months will convert as Perm employee of Skill Quotient

Job Location: Kuala Lumpur

Experience: More than 4 years of total experience in Cloud DBA

Only Local Malaysian preferred

**JOB DESCRIPTION**

**Key Responsibilities**:*

1. *Database Management:*
- Set up and manage cloud databases, including MSSQL, MySQL, and PostgreSQL, to ensure reliability.
- Manage user access and permissions, safeguarding data.

2. *Performance Enhancement:*
- Optimize database performance and responsiveness, proactively addressing slowdowns.
- Monitor and maintain overall database health.

3. *Security and Compliance:*
- Implement robust data security measures, adhering to industry standards and regulations.
- Ensure databases meet required compliance criteria.

4. *Capacity Planning and Migration:*
- Plan for database growth and lead cloud migration initiatives.
- Successfully migrate on-premises databases to cloud environments.

5. *Issue Resolution:*
- Swiftly troubleshoot and resolve database problems, minimizing disruptions.
- Provide expert support to teams facing database-related challenges.

6. *Automation and Deployment:*
- Develop scripts to automate routine database tasks, enhancing efficiency.
- Create automated processes for seamless database deployment.

7. *Collaboration:*
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate databases into our systems seamlessly.

**REQUIREMENTS**
- Bachelor's degree in a tech-related field or equivalent practical experience.
- Proven track record as a Database Administrator, especially in cloud environments.
- Proficiency in MSSQL, MySQL, and PostgreSQL databases, along with SQL expertise.
- Experience optimizing database performance and ensuring top-notch security.
- Familiarity with cloud service integration and cloud migration strategies.
- Strong problem-solving skills and effective communication abilities.
- Team player with excellent collaboration skills.

**Preferred**:*
- Certifications in cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure).
- Familiarity with containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
