**Job Summary**:
As a critical care nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to patients with critical illnesses or injuries. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to monitor, assess, and manage patients in critical condition, ensuring they receive the best possible care and support.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**Patient Assessment and Monitoring**:

- Conduct thorough assessments of patients' conditions, including vital signs, neurological status, and cardiac rhythm.
- Monitor patients closely for any changes in their condition and respond promptly to emergencies.
- Administer medications, IV fluids, and other treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Utilize advanced monitoring equipment to assess and manage patients' physiological parameters.

**Critical Care Interventions**:

- Perform advanced nursing procedures such as airway management, hemodynamic monitoring, and mechanical ventilation.
- Assist with invasive procedures and surgeries as needed.
- Manage complex medical equipment and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
- Provide specialized care for patients with conditions such as cardiac arrest, respiratory failure, sepsis, and trauma.

**Collaboration and Communication**:

- Work closely with physicians, respiratory therapists, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement comprehensive care plans.
- Communicate effectively with patients and their families, providing education and emotional support during critical situations.
- Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and contribute valuable insights to patient care discussions.

**Documentation and Record-Keeping**:

- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, documenting assessments, interventions, and outcomes.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and hospital policies regarding documentation and charting.

**Patient Advocacy and Support**:

- Advocate for patients' needs and preferences, ensuring they receive individualized care that respects their dignity and autonomy.
- Provide emotional support to patients and their families, offering reassurance and guidance during difficult times.
- Collaborate with social workers, chaplains, and other support services to address patients' holistic needs.

**Qualifications and Skills**:

- Diploma in Nursing or equivalent.
- **Post Basic in Critical Care or related is a MUST.**:

- Registered in LJM and hold a valid APC.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in an acute care setting, preferably in critical care.
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
- Proficiency in advanced cardiac life support (ACLS), basic life support (BLS), and other relevant certifications will be advantages.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

**Working Conditions**:

- Work shifts may vary and include nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Exposure to high-stress situations and critically ill patients.
- Physical demands include standing for long periods, lifting and moving patients, and performing tasks that require manual dexterity and precision.

Pay: RM2,600.00 - RM5,000.00 per month
