Vegetarian Cook Caregiver

The Vegetarian Cook cum Caregiver at the orphanage is responsible for preparing nutritious and delicious vegetarian meals for the children residing in the orphanage. In addition to cooking, the individual will also take on the role of a caretaker, providing emotional support, assistance, and supervision to the children. The primary objective is to ensure the well-being, health, and happiness of the children under their care.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**1. Meal Preparation**:

- Plan and prepare balanced and nutritious vegetarian meals for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks, considering any dietary restrictions and preferences of the children.
- Ensure that the kitchen area is clean and hygienic at all times.
- Manage the inventory of food supplies and report any shortages to the relevant authorities.

**2. Caretaking**:

- Provide emotional support and a nurturing environment for the children.
- Supervise the children's daily activities and assist them with homework, personal hygiene, and other tasks as needed.
- Monitor the children's behavior and report any concerns to the supervisor.
- Organize and engage the children in recreational and educational activities.

**3. Safety and Well-being**:

- Ensure the safety and security of the children at all times.
- Administer basic first aid when necessary and seek medical attention for more serious injuries or illnesses.
- Follow established safety protocols and guidelines within the orphanage premises.

**4. Communication**:

- Maintain open and effective communication with other staff members, volunteers, and the orphanage management.
- Collaborate with the team to create a positive and supportive environment for the children.

**Qualifications**:

- Previous experience in cooking, preferably in a childcare or institutional setting.
- Knowledge of vegetarian cooking techniques and recipes.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Compassionate and patient with children, with the ability to handle challenging situations with empathy.
- Basic first aid and CPR certification is a plus.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: RM2,000.00 - RM3,000.00 per month
