Job Description: - Responsible to the CJBM Top Management for the provision of independent, objective assurance and consulting services to ensure CJBM’s objectives are achieved. - To assist the Internal Audit (IA) Manager in setting IA department targets, develop and implement audit plan / activities for the IA Department to add value to company business objectives. - Conduct audit review as per Annual Audit Plan. - Conduct audit follow up on previous issues or findings highlighted. - Conduct other assignments when required by the Internal Audit Manager or Top Management CJBM. - Act as IA Team Leader for audit review (on a rotational basis). Main Responsibility: 1. Annual Audit Plan To assist the IA Manager in preparing the annual internal audit plan by gathering updated information and available auditable areas. 2. Audit Review i) Preliminary Audit (Audit Planning) - Prepare Audit Planning Memorandum for each audit assignment. The memorandum includes audit objectives, audit scope, audit program, audit resources and audit schedule. - Identify data/ information for audit and submit the request to relevant Department to conduct preliminary audit. - Conduct data mining, analysis and interpretation prior to audit assignment. ii) Audit Fieldwork - Lead the audit team (on a rotational basis), collate audit findings from team members and draft audit report prior to the exit meeting. - Conduct audit opening meeting and audit exit meeting with the Auditees. - Prepare audit findings and audit recommendations observed during the audit assignment and discuss with the Auditees. - Prepare audit report after the completion of each audit assignment and submit the report to Internal Audit Manager for review and approval. - Compile/ organize all audit working papers (documents/reports/exhibits) obtained during audit for ease of reference and retrieval. iii) Audit Follow Up - Follow-up with auditees on status of action plan and its completion. Skills Required: 1. Knowledge Staff should have basic knowledge of internal control across the various business cycles (e.g. production, finance, procurement, HR, etc.) especially on technical aspect. 2. Computer skills Staff is required to have advanced Microsoft Office skills, especially knowledge of Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and Access. Knowledge of SAP software. 3. Communication skills The internal auditor’s job requires preparing and communicating audit programs, work-papers, recommendations, and audit reports, as well as leading teams (on a rotational basis). Therefore, it is important that staff have exceptional writing and verbal communication skills to succeed on the job. 4. Interpersonal skills It is essential that the staff have interpersonal skills to develop relationships, interact with teams, and promote open communication among teams. 5. Leadership skills Staff must be able to supervise the work of audit teams (when appointed as IA Team Leader) and motivate and work with them to achieve desired goals. 6. Analytical skills Staff need to be creative thinkers with strong risk awareness and a thorough understanding of processes and controls. Staff must be able to identify problems and prioritize situations that require urgent attention.
