1. Carefully examine tender documents, including MEP drawings, specifications, and bills of quantities.
2. Understand the scope of MEP works and any specific requirements or standards that need to be met.
3. Identify any discrepancies or missing information that may impact cost estimation or construction feasibility.
4. Present cost estimates in a clear and organized manner for review and approval by project stakeholders.
5. Analyze proposals based on cost, technical competence, compliance with specifications, and schedule.
6. Provide recommendations and support to the project team in selecting suitable MEP subcontractors.
7. Collaborate with MEP engineers and designers to optimize systems for cost-efficiency without sacrificing performance or quality.
8. Conduct risk assessments specific to MEP installations, considering factors such as schedule delays, material availability, and technical challenges.
9. Review detailed shop drawings and technical submittals prepared by MEP subcontractors.
10. Coordinate with design consultants and subcontractors to resolve any discrepancies or issues promptly.
11. Monitor changes to the scope of MEP works during construction, including design modifications
or unforeseen conditions.
12. Document changes thoroughly to maintain accurate records and ensure transparency in cost adjustments.
14. Monitor actual costs incurred for MEP works, comparing them to budgeted amounts.
15. Collaborate with the design team to implement cost-effective solutions that align with project objectives and client expectations.
