REGULAR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 1 Develop detailed design drawings and specifications for mechanical equipment, dies / tools, and controls, using Computer Aided Design (CAD) equipment. 2 Design support to estimation/sales department as and when required 3 Review design calculations and drawings, submit to the authorized inspector or client, and carry-out ‘U’ stamp activity as per ASME QC Manual 4 Producing as-built drawings which may require physically checking the finished item to verify measurements. 5 Setting up and continuous improvement of design software programs for the manufacture of air
- cooled coolers and shell and tube heat exchangers and pressure vessels 6 Rendering technical advice to the coordinator and stores for the procurement of materials /items as best suited to the design 7 Produce drawings for CNC Plasma Cutter and pass to the Operator when required. 8 Coordinate with and consult other workers to design, layout, or detail components and systems. 9 Communicate with Management if you can see where improvements can be made. 10 Modify and revise designs to correct operating deficiencies or to reduce production problems or fit-up. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED 1 Knowledge of ASME specifications, Petronas technical specifications and project workflow are compulsory. 2 Ability to utilize mechanical design software / thermal design software including AUTOCAD, PV Eli 3 Possess good communication and interpersonal skills and a team player 4 Must be able to respond to and manage change wherever necessary PRACTICAL EXPERIENCE: 2-3 years of working experience in heat exchangers, pressure vessels, and pipelines/packages both in manufacturing and in-hop repairs. Conversant with ASME/ANSI/IMO and familiar with HSE
