JOB DESCRIPTION:
Job Title: AS400 Core Banking System - Developer

Job Purpose:
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the design and analysis of the Bank’s SIBS Core Banking system
Ensure user requirements are accurately identified and consistently observed in the development/ enhancement of systems
Ensure programs are efficiently written and adequately tested against prescribed standards
Lead a team of developers and provide technical and architecture guidance on all aspects of the development and implementation of enterprise business solutions for 1P systems and ecosystems.
Collaborate with relevant teams within the unit and Group Technology (GT) to understand and interpret business requirements, lead and work within the team during the build, test and deployment phases.
Participate in strategic planning to accomplish technical as well as business needs in order to address the business requests and vision.
Manage business and technical problems and propose alternatives or solutions based on the available capacity and capability of the unit and GT organisation.
Facilitate the systems tests planning throughout development phases and ensure that the tests achieve project and system objectives from functional, usability, performance aspects.
Plan and guide the team’s projects prioritisation, scope, design, timeline and dependencies.
Provide regular progress reports on development progress status, risks and issues at the function and project levels to relevant stakeholders on a timely manner.

Agile methodologies and coding standards.
Guide and support subordinates on arising issues and proactively remove obstacles to drive work/projects momentum and progress.
Mentor, motivate and develop team members by providing opportunities and skills development and fostering effective team work within the team and cross capabilities to achieve a high-level of performance, integration and consistency.

Job Specification:
Qualifications (Basic Degree/Diploma etc.):
Degree in Engineering/ Science graduates from reputed universities preferably with Computer Science or equivalent background.

Relevant Work Experience:
Knowledge in SIBS core banking is an added advantage
Experience in adopting tools for development during code review, build/packaging process and etc.
Experience in various platforms
Demonstrated ability for solving complex problems with a high-level of understanding of technical specification related to IT business stakeholder needs
Experience working in a collaborative multi-disciplinary and matrixed environment.

Required Competencies and Skills:
Technical/ Functional skills:
With SIBS CORE BANKING working exposure preferred
A MUST Development skill: RPGLE, CLLE, DB400, SQL, OS400.
IT Technical Development
Critical Applications relating to Core Banking and Consumer Banking

Business Process Management, Methods and Tools
Web Framework such as Structs, Spring MVC & other types of frameworks like.NET
IT Architecture Design
