Job Description for Commis:
1) Assist in the preparation of ingredients, mise en place, and basic cooking task accordingly to established recipes and guidelines.
2) Work in specific sections under the supervision of more experienced chefs
3) Follow recipes and instructions accurately to ensure consistency in flavour, presentation and quality of dishes.
4) Execute basic cooking techniques.
5) Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen, including regular cleaning of workstation, utensils and equipment. Adhere to sanitation standards.
6) Assist in managing inventory, stocking ingredients and ensuring that supplies are replenished as needed.
7) Assist in plating dishes and ensuring they meet the visual standards set by the kitchen.
8) Support the kitchen team during busy service periods by handling task such as garnishing, expediting orders and ensuring timely food preparation.
9) Strictly adhere to health and safety regulations, including proper food handling, personal hygiene and sanitation practices.
10) Collaborate with other kitchen staff to foster a positive working environment and contribute to the success of the culinary team.
**Job Types**: Full-time, Contract
Contract length: 12 months
**Salary**: RM1,500.00 - RM2,000.00 per month
