Litigation Lawyer

**Responsibilities**:
- Develop medico-legal related policies in alignment with JCI and MSQH requirements as well as Private Healthcare Services and Facilities Act in Malaysia.
- Risk governance by working closely with Heads of Departments (HODs) on risk management and compliance programs.
- Provide end-to-end legal advisory and drafting support to business development and new expansion plans.
- Draft, negotiate, and finalize agreements for new and existing commercial transactions.
- Provide legal representation, advice, and opinions in monitoring and resolving disputes that may lead to litigation.
- Review reports and correspondence with regulatory authorities to safeguard the interest of the organization and doctors.
- Work collaboratively with local external legal counsel to safeguard the interest of the organization and doctors.
- Work collaboratively with Medical Affairs and Medico-legal teams across the entities to ensure consistency of approach.
- Share good practices / regulatory updates amongst doctors and nurses, including providing training on law and ethics
**Job Requirements**:
- Bachelor of Laws
- At least 3-5 years experience in in-house legal counsel roles, specializing in medico-legal relevant working experience or general litigation experience.
- Expertise in drafting complex commercial contracts with the capability to provide thorough commercial legal advice to business units internationally.
- Fluent in business English, can efficiently draft and mediate to resolve legal disputes.
- Ability to clearly and concisely explain legal situations to business persons and other non-lawyers.
