ICT Technician-Jalan Klang Lama

**ROLE**

To provide comprehensive services, including troubleshooting, maintenance, configuration, installation, administration, supervision, and support for the college computer system, hardware, software, and ICT equipment. This role also involves troubleshooting audiovisual equipment and other ICT-related devices.

**RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES**

**Maintenance and Security**:

- Optimize workflows using ICT tools and systems.
- Use Google Workspace for efficient workflows.
- Conduct routine maintenance for optimal performance.
- Ensure security protocols for ICT infrastructure.

**Configuration and Support**:

- Configure systems and install software.
- Provide technical support and resolve issues promptly.

**Management and Oversight**:

- Manage end-to-end equipment lifecycle.
- Supervise and guide support staff.

**Media and Audiovisual Support**:

- Assist in setting up and troubleshooting multimedia equipment.
- Resolve issues with audiovisual equipment for seamless activities.

**Documentation and Collaboration**:

- Maintain accurate records of troubleshooting and configurations.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external suppliers.

**Equipment Loan and Asset Management**:

- Oversee daily equipment loans.
- Manage a comprehensive inventory of software and hardware.

**Communication and Updates**:

- Provide clear technical updates and reports.
- Collaborate with internal teams and suppliers to address ICT concerns.

**Other Responsibilities**:

- Assist Facilities & Maintenance when needed.
- Undertake additional duties as required in the department.

**REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLS**
- Proven experience as an IT / ICT Technician or in a relevant position.
- Problem solver with keen attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience working with diverse computer systems and networks.
- Advanced knowledge of commonly used Mac and Windows operating systems.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, work under pressure, and consistently meet deadlines.
- Patient and methodical work approach.
- Strong team player and ability to work independently.
- Proactive, positive attitude and commitment to continuous improvement.
- Adherence to company policies and ethical work practices.
- Willingness to occasionally work evenings or weekends.
- Degree or Diploma in Information Technology or a related field.
- IT Technician certification is a significant plus.
