**What you’ll be doing**
We build data-driven solutions in collaboration with airlines around the world. Data is the core asset of our business, and data engineers are critical in unlocking the value of market and client data. There is lots of data to store, many (scheduled) jobs to run and configurations to be dealt with. You use your knowledge of data engineering, cloud, queues, streaming and graphs to work on the backbone of our data infrastructures. Furthermore, you will;
- Design, implement and manage data pipelines that ingest vast amounts of data from various sources.
- Plan technical solutions and deploy the data architecture using cloud-based technologies.
- Make data available, and execute pipelines and scale sets for data science.

**What you’ll need**
- A technical/quantitative degree or a similar educational background.
- 3+ years of experience in extraction, transformation and loading data in a modern data management infrastructure.
- Proficiency in Python and SQL.
- You are excited about working with the latest technologies in data modeling, data warehousing and cloud technology.
- Preferably, you have some knowledge around the Hadoop ecosystem, Databricks and Apache Spark.
- You are curious, proactive and feel at ease in an informal and professional setting where you get a lot of freedom and responsibility.
- You feel at ease in cross-cultural and multi-disciplinary teams.
- You are a resident of Malaysia.
- You possess a valid work permit for Malaysia.

**Where is the position located?**

This role is based in our newly established office in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Our Malaysia office specializes in Software Engineering, Data Engineering, and Data Analysis. You will collaborate with talented tech colleagues.
