**HSSE Advisor, LIZA - Guyana**
- As Liza HSSE Advisor, you are responsible for ensuring prevention and mitigation of risks to our personnel, assets, the environment and our Company reputation. You play a key role in promoting and embedding strong leadership, positive behaviour and culture amongst Liza FPSOs.- You are the onshore HSSE focal point for 2 FPSOs (FPSO Liza Destiny and Liza Unity) and work onshore in rotation 4 weeks on/off.- Your main responsibilities include:
- Monitor and facilitate compliance with the Company HSSE policies, rules and procedures as set in the Company management system (GEMS);
- Promote and develop the HSSE / Process Safety Culture onshore and onboard Liza FPSOs
- Act as the primary point of contact onshore for the Offshore Safety department
- Coach the onshore HSSE department, transfer your knowledge and experience to HSSE specialists reporting to you.
- Attend external/client HSSE audits carried out on board and at the Shore Base. Ensure appropriate preventive and corrective actions are put in place, timely monitor their implementation;
- Participate to vendor/subcontractor qualification, to ensure they comply with Company standards;
- Drive continuous improvement of contractors’ delivery on the Unit, ensuring appropriate corrective actions are put in place;
- Support offshore or onshore incident investigations as required and follow up to ensure actions items are closed.
- Share best HSSE/Process Safety practices, develop initiatives to learn from other unit operations;
- Liaise with Client on Process Safety and HSSE matters. Respond to Process Safety and HSSE related queries and accompany any Client or Government Officials on field visits to SBM facilities;
- Act as a core member of the Onshore Emergency Response Team (HSSE Advisor position)
- Support emergency preparedness onshore and offshore;
- Actively contribute to the deployment of training programs and communication campaigns.
**EDUCATION**
- Engineering Degree in Process Safety or Health and Safety Degree Or a strong technical/site experience, with relevant HSSE/Process Safety qualifications
**CERTIFICATION**
- NEBOSH certificate or equivalent
- Emergency/Incident Management
- Lead Auditor (OHSAS 18000)
- ISM/ISPS Lead Auditor
**EXPERIENCE**
- At least 5-6 years’ experience in Offshore/FPSO operations. Previous work as Safety Officer is a plus.
**SKILLS**
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize work;
- Excellent oral and written English;
- Solid interpersonal skills;
- Strong team player who cooperatively resolves issues with stakeholders
- Ability to coach & share knowledge
- Communication skills
