**CDP Baker - Job Description**
**Position**: Chef de Partie (Baker)
**Department**: Central Kitchen
**Purpose of the Role**:
To oversee the baking section of the kitchen, ensuring the preparation, production, and presentation of baked goods meet and exceed the establishment's standards.
**Key Responsibilities**:
**Baking Production**Prepare and produce a wide variety of baked products, including bread, rolls, muffins, pies, cakes, cookies, and pastries, following traditional and modern recipes.
Ensure the consistent quality of baked goods by adhering to standardized recipes.
**Ingredient Management**Source, measure, mix, and prep ingredients according to recipes.
Ensure that baking ingredients are stored under the right conditions to maintain their freshness and prevent wastage.
**Equipment Management**Operate and manage baking machinery like mixers, ovens, and proofers.
Ensure regular maintenance and cleaning of baking equipment to remain in optimal working condition.
**Quality Control**Monitor oven temperatures, speed settings, and mixing processes to ensure baked goods meet the desired quality standards.
Taste-test products to determine if they meet flavor standards.
Address and rectify any issues or complaints regarding the baked products.
**Sanitation and Cleanliness**Ensure that the baking area is always kept clean and organized.
Comply with all health and safety regulations and maintain a high standard of hygiene.
**Collaboration and Training**Work in collaboration with other chefs and kitchen staff.
Assist in training junior staff and new team members in baking techniques and standard procedures.
**Menu Development**Provide input and suggestions for the development of new items on the baking menu or seasonal specialties.
Continuously research and implement new baking techniques.
**Skills and Qualifications**:
- Diploma in bakery, pastry arts, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a baker or relevant role in a commercial kitchen.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations.
- Strong understanding of baking techniques, ingredients, and equipment.
- Good communication and team management skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
**Salary**: RM3,000.00 - RM6,000.00 per month
Schedule:
- Day shift
- Early shift
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Kuala Lumpur: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
