Overview of job

We are currently looking for a Media Planner to assist the planning team in preparing and implementing successful communication strategies founded in client’s business objectives and relevant research.

Reporting of the role:
This role reports to the Manager.

Measures of success
- In three months:

- On boarded onto the key accounts with full induction/training into all of the other facets of the business such as trading, specialized services (internal and within GroupM).
- Fully embraced all the tools, systems and processes used in media planning; work closely with respective stakeholders - internal teams, creative agency partners and clients across all campaigns.
- Embraced the fast-paced environment of chasing and managing tight deadlines.

In six months:

- The initiative to continuously improve processes to drive efficiencies and increase productivity.
- The initiative to create sensible and coherent reports that makes sense.
- Built your own relationship with the clients & publishers and be regarded as the digital expert on ad ops.

In 12 months:

- Become an integral part of the core team, participating and contributing to the overall strategy and discussions on digital/traditional media.
- Established yourself as a integrated media planner and have the ability to express confidently on questions posed by team members and clients.

Responsibilities of the role:

- Work very closely with your manager to ensure implementation/buying process are well aligned during the planning stage.
- Work very closely with media publishers and establish good relationships with them.
- Closely monitor and optimize active campaigns to ensure best possible media performance on an on-going basis.
- Maintain & adhere to timely regular reporting tasks on global/regional clients.

What you will need:

- 2-3 year relevant working experience in media, preferably compasses of digital media, including Display, Search, Mobile and/or Social and some knowledge of industry standard ad ops systems.
- Meticulous and high attention-to-details.
- Possess strong organizational and numeracy skills.
- Communicate effectively in both written and spoken in English.
- Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills.
- Enjoy putting your negotiations skills into use.
- Passionate about “new” media communication and evolving technology.
- Preferably with Working knowledge of key ad trafficking and reporting technology such as DFA, Sizmek etc.
