Food Technologist

We are looking for aspiring individuals to join our team as Food Technologist (R&D). You will be the key person to manage the product formulation and innovate new formulas.

- To plan and execute R & D projects such as design and formulate new products and existing products improvement.
- Evaluate the nutritional value, colour, flavour and texture of the product.
- New product development from ingredients sourcing to lab prototype development, trial run, prudent commercialization, formulation, sample preparation and sensory evaluation.
- To establish and update related work instructions, including analysis method, specification (recipe, ingredients list, nutritional fact) and documents of all projects and samples status on time.
- Provide insights and interpretation of nutrition knowledge and targeted population nutritional needs into practical and feasible product concepts and solutions.
- Liaise with food manufacturers and suppliers for information related to interesting ingredients for R&D purposes.
- Familiar with health food regulatory requirements/compliance with GMP, HACCP, HALAL, food classification standards.
- Ensuring that manufacturing processes conform to the government, processing, consumer and industry standards.
- To coordinate with other departments on certain development projects.
- To perform any tasks as assigned by Superior.

**Requirements**:

- At least Bachelor Degree in Food Science / Food Technology / Food Science / Applied Science / Nutrition / Dietetic / or any related discipline.
- At least 2 years and above of relevant working experience.
- The innovative and independent individual with strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Knowledge in GMP, HACCP, HALAL, FOOD ACT 1983 and related requirements.
- Cheerful, creative, innovative, idealistic and interested in food research and development.
- Meticulous, attention to detail, hands-on person and is willing to take additional responsibilities.
- Ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
