Structural Detailer

Review and interpret fabrication requirements based on engineering drawings and specifications, industry and government codes and the instructions from Architects and Engineers - Prepare detailed General Arrangement drawings, shop drawings and other required documents for fabrication - Clarify structure setting out and connection details with Engineering Coordinator and prepare RFI/TQ/RFA - Generate 2D/3D modeling using steel structure detailing software such as AutoCAD/Progecad, TEKLA Structures or STRUCAD. - Analyze data and finding innovative solutions when problems arises - May also be involved in shop work, quality control and project monitoring if necessary - Liaison and close working relationship with Architects, Engineers and subcon fabricators REQUIREMENTS - Degree/Diploma in Structural or Civil Engineering with good results in practical Maths and Physics - Minimum 3 to 5 years detailing experience and skilled in using AutoCAD, Progecad, TEKLA Structures or STRUCAD. - Good knowledge in code of practice and specifications relating to material, welding, surface treatment and etc. - Ability to visualize spatial relationships and translate abstract concept into reality - High accuracy and precision in work with strong attention to details - Highly organized and methodical in work and able to build constructive and effective relationships with multiple functional groups
