Duties & Responsibilities

1. Provide advice on database design in accordance to best practices.

2. Consult and review administration, tuning, installation, upgrading, data management and security of the databases and if required implement the changes required.

3. Guarantees registered production databases to meet the requirements of high availability and minimum downtime.

4. Work with the various streams/teams involve to make sure that the database backup is on time and reliable.

5. Analyze database usage and current capacity to increase the viability of recommendations for enhancing or upgrading databases so that it aligns with current or available technology.

6. Organize and manage procedures for patch loads, performance tuning, and configurations in relations to database objects.

7. Assume responsibility of other relevant tasks as assigned from time to time.

8. Prepare, review or ensure design document is ready prior to deployment.

Job Requirements

Experience: Minimum 5 years related experience

Knowledge: Knowledge in Windows\RHEL operating system, Oracle Database Administration,

PostgreSQL Database Administration, Database performance tuning, shell programming, SQL AlwaysOn,PL/SQL and writing embedded scripts.

Skills/ Competencies: Excellent communication, writing, interpersonal, analytical, problem solving, project and management skills.

Others: Preferable
(1) Oracle Certified Associate (Database 10g/12C/19c)
(2) Oracle Certified Professional (Database 10g/12C/19C),
(3) PostgreSQL Professional Certification
(4) IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL).
