**JOB DESCRIPTION**:
**DETAILS OF FUNCTION**

**Prime duties**:

- Responsible for safety of all passengers aboard the vessel at all time.
- Responsible for the environment impact of the vessel.
- Responsible for implementation of accepted marina guidelines and standard operating procedures.
- Daily inspection of the boat.
- Check boat is equipped with complete safety equipment.
- Inspect safety equipment.
- Check the tide tables and weather forecast.
- Conduct boat launching and retrieving.
- Conduct safety briefing for passengers.
- Ensure passengers are wearing lifejackets
- Ensure passengers are seated properly prior to moving
- Implement safe boat driving and navigation.
- Boat cleaning and washing prior to closing.
- Engine and boat maintenance
- Refueling to the boat.
- Supervise, train, and encourage deckhand to assist you to the highest possible standards.
- Should devote whole time and attention to the service of boat department
- Respect and follow the policies and procedures.
- Carry out any reasonable requests made by management.
- Should always be on time and get ready to start working.
- Attend the daily operations as assigned.
- Maintain frequent effective communication with the team.

**Log book responsibilities**:

- Report any damages happen to a boat.
- Record the fuel usage of each boat.
- Sign-out when the boat being use and sign-in after the operation done.
- Report any emergency or accident happen while on board.
- Report any lost and damage equipment.
- Daily record on the engine running hour.
- Maintain accurate manifest for each departure to and from the Jetty.
- Create and participate a workplace that is interesting and promotes a positive culture.
- Must as a priority have the safety of the guests and staff in mind at all times and ensure safety related policies are followed.
- Must ensure cleanliness checklists and preventative maintenance schedules are adhered to so the boat are clean and well maintained at all times.
- Responsible for guest retention by creating a memorable experience for the guest.
- Any other task as may be delegated by the Management from time to time.

**Requirement**
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience operating boats in coastal and riverine environments, preferably in Sabah.
- Thorough knowledge of navigation, maritime safety regulations, and boat maintenance.
- Possess a valid boatman license (kad Pelaut)

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent, Contract
Contract length: 12 months

Pay: RM1,500.00 - RM1,700.00 per month
