Responsibilities:

- Design, develop, and maintain backend logic to implement complex business logic in the Life Insurance domain.
- Write, debug, and optimize PL/SQL stored procedures, functions, packages, and database triggers.
- Proficiently write and execute SQL queries, advanced SQL, and PL/SQL, with a focus on performance tuning.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, analyze business needs, and transform functional requirements into technical implementations.
- Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to ensure code quality and adherence to coding standards.
- Work on development and maintenance projects, ensuring timely and high-quality deliverables.
- Handle data migration projects for Life Insurance, including backend procedures and functions for data migration.
- Develop and maintain reports and BI Publisher for various projects.
- Perform comprehensive UAT and production support tasks at client locations in APAC.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their business needs and address issues promptly and efficiently.
- Utilize different software methodologies such as AGILE and Waterfall for project execution.
- Contribute to the improvement of the quality process by analyzing the root causes of defects and suggesting preventive measures.

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- **Experience working in Insurance industry is a must**:

- At least 5 years of hands-on experience using Oracle SQL and PL/SQL, with exposure to Oracle databases.
- Extensive experience with tools like Report Builder, BI Publisher, Toad, SQL Developer, SVN, JIRA, FileZilla, and Putty.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with an ability to handle challenging assignments and changing priorities.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a focus on active listening and effective collaboration.
- Proven ability to work in multicultural environments and handle onsite tasks in different countries.
- Prior experience in the Life Insurance domain is a must.
- Familiarity with AGILE and Waterfall software development methodologies.
- Previous experience working with international clients is a plus.

**Job Type**: Contract
Contract length: 12 months

**Salary**: RM10,000.00 - RM12,000.00 per month

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Kuala Lumpur: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
