Why does this job exist and why is it critical?

The role is responsible for supporting all aspects of IT and security and threat management for Maxis which includes developing threat assessment reports, providing continuous analytical support; delivering threat intelligence briefings; conducting security risk assessments; managing red team/penetration testing assessments; technical report writing, and maintain relations with external security agencies such as MyCERT, Cybersecurity Malaysia, NC4, MCMC, etc.

What are you accountable for?
- Gathering threat intel / raw data (dark web, threat actor forums/chats etc.
- Sorting and filtering intel / raw data (relevance to Maxis)
- Investigating threats (discovery, searches)
- Analyzing activity (analytics, use-cases)
- Threat research and risk assessment reports
- Industry collaboration/coordination including national/other Cybersecurity Emergency Response Teams (CERTs)

Tooling/Technology/Data Sources
- Open Source Network Security Intelligence Repositories (OSNIT)
- Security Incident & Event Management System (SIEM) Analytics
- Log Analytic Tools
- Threat Intelligence Tools (CTM360, Security Scorecard)
