Costing Executive

Analyzing production cost and recommending changes. Analyzing monthly manufacturing variance. Developing cost standard for materials and labour. Designing and implementing cost accounting system. Profitability: Support the team’s ability to maximize profitability through cost savings on the labor, overhead and profit components of product spend through fact-based modeling factoring in impact from footprint movements, manufacturing practices, supply models, duties, foreign exchange trends, brand and corporate sourcing needs. Be proactively involved in productivity improvement programs and ensure that these savings are fully reflected in product cost reductions. Ø Analytics: Build detailed matrices that provide transparency into labor and overhead costs and provide insights on cost drivers using structured cost models and benchmarking methods. Develop systems and models that support maintenance of detailed and dynamic rate cards on cost drivers to enable scenario planning and fact-based negotiations. Ø Negotiation: By supplying information and/or in-person, support negotiation meetings with strategic suppliers to ensure cost optimization through a systematic and transparent approach. Ø Cost mitigation: Establish and continuously update industry leading costing frameworks, standards and tools that enable transparent, fact-based costing to ensure that cost mitigation is captured through optimized frameworks. Understand and inform Sourcing and brand teams of market trends to proactively respond to the dynamic cost environment in a timely manner. Ø Sourcing Strategy: Influence sourcing strategy through modelling future costs taking macro-economic trends and end-2-end profitability into consideration to guide decisions on existing and future locations and structure of supply base. Ø M&A: Analyze information to Identify cost leverage opportunities presented through new acquisitions and support integration of costing functions to maximize VF leverage and deliver increased value, maximize acquisition synergies Ø Connectivity: Support connectivity and information sharing among Product Development, Sourcing, Global Material Supply, Finance, Engineering and Suppliers that enables a valuable One-VF Global Costing Strategy Ø Team: Build, develop and motivate the Costing Labor and Overhead team through strong leadership and ensure the best standards of performance. Identify and develop talent to ensure appropriate skill sets and strong succession plans are in place.
