IT Executive

The main role of the IT Infrastructure Executive position is to design, develop, support, and automation of the infrastructure that supports the company’s business platforms. The role involves continuous improvement efforts to align with the changing requirements of the company. Additionally, the IT Infrastructure Executive is responsible for ensuring the proper maintenance, monitoring, and operation of all infrastructure components. Furthermore, this role involves assisting in strategic initiatives and driving the tactical activities of the Data Center Infrastructure team. Key Responsibilities: - Collaborate with leadership to develop tactical plans aligning with the Infrastructure team's strategic direction. - Facilitate the development of shared knowledge and expertise within the Infrastructure team, minimizing reliance on individual knowledge and dependencies. - Work with IT management to establish and support technical policies and procedures. - Support and continually improve methods to enhance the availability of infrastructure services. - Collaborate with the IT management on project progress, issues and solutions. - Install, configure, and maintain approved telecom/network hardware and software components. - Provide user support for connectivity or related network/communication issues. - Monitor and maintain backup servers and tape libraries, whether virtual or physical. - Fulfil administrative duties within the IT procurement and inventory management function. - Maintains inventory records and database containing information about licenses, warranties, and service agreements for the IT hardware. - Administer file server sharing access and permissions. - Maintain and monitor Printer service provided by vendor. - Perform day-to-day operations for facilities, including routine maintenance requests for wired and wireless networks, coordination of construction/demolition activity, and other service requests. - Performs activities relating to site safety and security, disaster recovery, and disaster recovery planning (DRP). - Maintains location specific facility systems which include data centre equipment, CCTV and electronic security access. - Managing video conference device which include troubleshooting when necessary. Qualifications: - Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or similar field, or equivalent work experience Required Knowledge: - At least 3 years of experience in systems administration or equivalent technical roles in the IT industry. - Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft server operating systems and associated technologies. - Proficiency in infrastructure services and systems, including Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, DFS and Group Policy (automation, setup, implementation, optimization, etc.) - Basic understanding of the workings and operation of virtual environments, including Veeam, VMware ESXi, vCenter, vCAC, VDIs, etc.) - Experience with active scripting languages, such as PowerShell and Bash. - Knowledge of network architecture, enterprise monitoring solutions, transaction monitoring solutions, storage technologies and principles, and SANs (e.g. EMC, Nimble) is an added advantages. Skills/Abilities: - Proficient in effective communication skills. - Thorough comprehension of tasks, projects, and ownership of responsibilities. - Proficient in both independent work and collaborative teamwork. - Willing to work on off-office hours in an on-call schedule. - Demonstrates creative and innovative thinking abilities. - Displays strong organizational skills for balancing and prioritizing work. - Possesses analytical and problem-solving capabilities to troubleshoot system issues.
LOTTE CHEMICAL TITAN‘s production site in Malaysia consists of eleven Plants, two co-generation plants and three tank farms. They are located on 2 sites in Pasir Gudang and Tanjung Langsat in the state of Johor. Underground pipelines, shared utilities and controls enable facilities on these sites to operate as a single integrated petrochemicals complex. Vertical integration of olefins and polyolefins production has enabled the company to add value and realize gains along the value chain while our customers have the assurance of consistent quality and dependable supply. This integration facilitates higher operating rates and cushions the impact of cyclicality. In 2006, LOTTE CHEMICAL TITAN acquired PT Lotte Chemical Titan Nusantara, Indonesia’s largest polyethylene plant in the country. This acquisition boosted the polyethylene capacity by about 80%, thus making us one of the largest producers of polyolefin in Southeast Asia.
