The **Intermediate Tax Accountant** holds immense importance in driving business success by leveraging their extensive tax knowledge. From preparing tax returns and activity statements to reconciling work papers and financial statements, they ensure compliance with the latest Australian tax rules. - Employment Type: Full-time- Schedule: Day shift; Mon - Fri 06:30 AM - 03:30 PM- Work Arrangement: Remote/Work from Home

**What do you need to succeed?**
- Accounting degree or related degree with a major in accounting
- Completed or working towards completion of CA/CPA certification
- Minimum of 3 years proven experience in accounting and taxation with a focus on AU tax and accounting
- Thorough understanding of Australia's taxation legislation, including GST, FBT, CGT, Division 7A
- Strong commercial acumen paired with sound technical accounting and analytical skills
- Effective issue identification and communication abilities
- Experience with popular accounting software such as MYOB, Xero, Reckon, Quickbooks
- Familiarity with Reckon APS program (desirable)
- Proficient in English writing and verbal communication
- Excellent communication skills with emphasis on relationship and stakeholder management
- Strong attention to detail and prioritization capabilities
- Collaborative and team-oriented mindset with a focus on building internal relationships
- Ability to meet productivity and turnaround metrics

- Providing strategic tax guidance: Offering valuable support in tax planning, Fringe Benefits Tax (FBT), payroll tax, and Single Touch Payroll (STP) to optimize tax obligations for clients.
- Illuminating business insights: Engaging in business advisory projects such as budgeting, cashflows, and management reporting to empower decision-making and drive growth.
- Safeguarding compliance: Ensuring meticulous maintenance of all documentation, including work papers and client files, in strict accordance with clients' compliance requirements.
