**Client is based in Tanjung Langsat, they are the world's largest manufacturer insulation products.**

Industry: Manufacturing/Production

Working Hour: Monday to Friday

Location: Tanjung Langsat, Johor

**Responsibilities**:
1. **Task Plannin**g - Identify follow actions required and manage the planning and completion of the tasks.

a. Daily reviews of SAP notifications and conversion into work orders detailing scope of work estimated manpower, duration and stock location of parts required.

b. Identifying parts for work orders that are non-stock items and storing and a clearly identified location noted on the work order.

c. Planning of work orders that require external contract support and planning actions in agreement with process leader. Ensuring that work estimated above purchasing involvement limit has purchasing involved from initial stages and work below threshold has competitive quotes obtained.

d. Ensuring negotiated purchase orders in place prior to commencement of work on site.

e. Planning of larger scale engineering tasks that require parts ordering, contractor utilisation or line downtime.

f. Planning of improvement activities accepted from the project team by the maintenance department and handed over to day turn control engineers to execute.

g. OCO planning, develop a capture list for OCO tasks and forward planning of major tasks to utilise OCO time. Ensuring intrusive PM’s are issued as part of OCO plan.

h. Create and maintain a visual planning process for work orders and OCO planning.

i. Reporting completion statistics for the daily review meetings.

j. Capture of items identified in service contract reports and plan corrective actions.

k. Champion of SAP PM system, ensuring PM’s are distributed to maintenance leader for Execution.

l. Ensure accurate times are planned for routines to allow assistant leaders ability to resource schedule.

2.** Contractor Management** - Management of contractors on site and associated planning activities. Introduction of new contractors in hand with purchasing department to drive competition.

a. Ensure compliance with KI safety policies by contractors.

b. Plant responsible for scaffolding systems and routine inspections to ensure legislative requirements are met.

c. Work with purchasing to identify a minimum of 2 contractors per skill base to improve costs by driving competition.

d. Explore new contractors to drive competition in cost & quality.

e. Ensuring that all work undertaken by contractors has a formal acceptance documented on completion of work and orders not goods receipted until work is completed to acceptable level.

f. Ensure contractor hours are recorded in SAP PM

3. **Budget Control** - To ensure all financial control procedures are adhered to so that the Engineering Team has an accurate and up to date picture of current spend vs. budget.

a. Ensure budget tracking database is maintained and up to date at all times.

b. Involve purchasing group at initial contact stage for work that meets the purchasing threshold criteria.

c. Minimise contractor use for drop shift tasks by full utilisation of maintenance team available manpower.

d. Negotiate best costs for all work below purchasing scope of involvement.

e. Promote an awareness of cost within the team and the importance of cost management.

f. Promote competition amongst vendors by introducing new suppliers.

g. Reduce sudden high costs by forward planning of key spend items for CAPEX planning.

4. **Spare Parts Management** - To ensure correct level of spare parts are technically identified and specified as stock items.

a. Responsible for technical specification of new spare part requests and driving commonality of parts where possible.

b. Responsible for BOM maintenance

5. **Physical Infrastructure** - Rectification or escalation where required of any general plant issues with regards buildings & services

6.** Documentation** - Secondary owner of the site engineering documentation process. Ensure site documentation is maintained properly. Ensure all documentation modifications transferred to the KI Extranet drawing system. Provide technical folders for all new projects. Define and maintain an acceptance package for all new / modified installations.

7. **Liaise with KI staffs for any defects/improvement/preventive/corrective jobs.**

**8. Liaise with suppliers/contractors/consultant/authorities. (sourcing/evaluation/job execution)**

**9. Ensure all staffs/contractors are complied with KI’s safety policy / regulations / procedures.**

**10. Perform other related duties as assigned or required.**

**Requirements**:

- A strong technical knowledge and hands on experience of maintenance process/activities is required.
- Industrial/Automation/Control Engineering from a reputable institution with 8 years of working experience will be considered
