Look no further Our client, a reputable Interior Design & Renovation company based in Shah Alam, is seeking a highly skilled Quantity Surveyor to join their dynamic team. As the company continues to grow, your expertise and leadership will play a vital role in delivering exceptional projects.

Key Responsibilities:
Cost Estimation and Budgeting: Utilize your expertise to prepare accurate and detailed quantity takeoffs and cost estimates for interior design projects. Collaborate closely with the design team to develop realistic budgets that align with client requirements and project scope. Monitor and track project costs, ensuring timely identification and resolution of any cost overruns or variances.

Procurement and Supplier Management: Showcase your sourcing and evaluation skills by identifying competitive suppliers and subcontractors for materials, furnishings, fixtures, and equipment. Prepare procurement schedules, issue purchase orders, and ensure the timely delivery of materials and services. Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiating favorable terms and resolving procurement-related issues.

Contract Administration: Demonstrate your meticulousness in reviewing and evaluating project contracts and agreements. Identify contractual obligations, deliverables, and milestones, ensuring compliance with contract terms and conditions. Efficiently manage change orders and resolve any contractual disputes or claims in collaboration with the legal and project management teams.

Cost Control and Value Engineering: Implement effective cost control measures to track and manage project expenditures. Continuously monitor budgets, commitments, and actual costs while identifying cost-saving opportunities. Recommend value engineering options that uphold quality and design standards, collaborating closely with the project team during the design and construction phases.

Financial Reporting: Exhibit your financial acumen by preparing regular financial reports, including cost forecasts, cash flow projections, and cost-to-complete analyses. Provide accurate and timely updates on project financials to the project team, management, and clients. Assist in the preparation of final accounts, ensuring the completeness and accuracy of all financial documentation.

Job Requirements:
To thrive in this role, you should meet the following requirements:
Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the interior design or construction industry.

Strong knowledge of quantity surveying principles, cost estimation techniques, and construction materials.

Proficiency in quantity takeoff and cost estimation software/tools.

Familiarity with relevant building codes, regulations, and industry standards.

Excellent analytical and numerical skills with strong attention to detail in financial calculations.

Effective communication and negotiation skills to collaborate with team members, suppliers, and clients.

Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Professional certifications in quantity surveying or cost management (e.g., RICS, CIOB) are desirable.
