Position: Staff Nurse
Job Location: Iskandar Puteri Johor
Salary Range:
**SUMMARY OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
To provide direct comprehensive nursing care for patients as assigned. This includes provision of supportive care, collaboration with other healthcare providers/services and navigation of total patients care from admission till discharge. To demonstrate professional and evidence - based practices.
**DETAILED DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
1. To demonstrate excellent communication skills during all phases of the therapeutic relationship.
2. To demonstrate “hands on” clinical skills specific to his/her area of practice.
3. Create a positive environment by listening and offering support and always maintaining confidentiality.
Establish a caring and therapeutic relationship with patients demonstrating trust, respect, and
honesty.
4. To understand the impact of the disease experience and plan how to optimally guide the patient and
family throughout the medical treatment.
5. To conduct a thorough nursing assessment of patient’s physical, psychosocial, cultural, and spiritual
needs.
6. Evaluate patient responses to interventions, to determine progress toward achieving expected
outcomes and modify the nursing plan of care accordingly.
7. Formulate, implement, and document a holistic plan of nursing care that is communicated and clarified
with the patient / family.
8. To prioritize and organize workflow, in arranging diagnostic tests and procedures.
9. Acknowledge Work Instruction and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) of Hospital.
10. Collaborate with others team in ensuring operational of department well maintain, including:
Follow and minimize interruption in following schedule plan/duty roster.
Maintain punctuality and obey to disciplinary act in HR Policy.
Ensure all assignment in department complete.
Emergency trolley checking, DDA counter check, Humidity, Fridge, and Isolation Chart, Routine
tock count Consumable, CSSD, Medication floor stock, Medical Record Dispatch, Stationary.
11. Update Census and Bed Management System.
12. To communicate with polite and professional language among team members, Superior, Doctors and
Clients.
13. Ensure continuous documentation or charting in department, always up to date according to
departmental basis.
14. Follow SBAR (Situation, Background, Assessment, Recommendation) technique while communicate
either in Verbal or Written methods.

16. Ensure all documentation are using Valid Form/Document that has been registered under Quality and
Innovative Unit.

30. Act as a preceptor or mentor to staff / students, by assist in guiding and mentoring junior nurses.
**JOB SPECIFICATION**
Years of relevant experience required: Less than 3 years in nursing services or newly qualified Registered Nurse.
Highest education qualification required: Diploma / Bachelor’s in Nursing
Knowledge and skills required:
- Good interpersonal & communication skill
- Must obtain a valid Annual Practicing
Certificate (APC) and BLS within 6 months
of employment.
- High level of integrity and confidentiality
- Willing to be deployed.
- Must be able to perform other related duties as assigned by superior.
