**Job Summary**:
The Accounts Executive plays a crucial role in the financial management of the travel company, responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations. This role requires meticulous attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Financial Record Keeping**: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger entries, and bank reconciliations.
- **Invoicing and Billing**: Generate and issue invoices to clients for services rendered, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on overdue payments as necessary.
- **Expense Management**: Process and review employee expense claims, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures. Reconcile credit card statements and petty cash accounts.
- **Budgeting and Forecasting**: Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and periodic financial forecasts. Monitor budget variances and provide explanations for any deviations.
- **Financial Reporting**: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements. Present financial data to management and provide insights for decision-making.
- **Tax Compliance**: Assist in the preparation and filing of tax returns, ensuring compliance with local tax regulations. Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations that may impact the company's financial obligations.
- **Audit Support**: Collaborate with external auditors during the annual audit process. Provide necessary documentation and support to ensure a smooth audit process and timely completion.
- **Vendor Management**: Maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers. Review vendor invoices and ensure accuracy before processing payments. Negotiate favorable payment terms when possible.
- **Financial Analysis**: Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement. Provide recommendations to management based on analysis findings.
- **Ad Hoc Projects**: Participate in special projects and initiatives as assigned by management, such as process improvements, system implementations, or financial planning initiatives.

**Qualifications and Skills**:

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Proven experience as an Accounts Executive or similar role in the travel industry is preferred.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and regulations.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial reporting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Professional certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA) is a plus.

**Working Conditions**:

- Works in an office environment.
- May require occasional overtime during month-end close or peak periods.

Pay: RM3,500.00 - RM4,800.00 per month
