Mining Manager

Job Summary

To ensure orderly development with respect to quality, quantity and EHS at the quarry at a reasonable time frame as well as contractor management. To provide information and support to other departments / business groups when required.

KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES- To ensure that monthly production targets are met- To advise and review quarry development plan- To ensure that the daily targets are met and at the acceptable quality required- To advise management in advance of any difficulties that the quarry is facing that will affect the monthly production target and device a plan to catch up- To review and plan monthly production with contractor and supervisor- To ensure the basic EHS needs for all workers at the quarry are met- To ensure the dust emission on the haul road and crushing plant are kept to the bare minimum without affecting the quality of marble being produced- Monthly review with contractor and supervisor on EHS affecting the quarry- Regular monitoring by consultants to ensure all minimum requirements are met, eg dust monitoring, vibration monitoring per blast, etc- To ensure all monthly reports to the relevant authorities are submitted timely and correctly- Working closely with the relevant authorities and consultant on all matters relating to the quarry operations- To update of resources and reserves to Imerys- To source for information / provide support for the smooth operation of the quarry and crushing and washing plant at the factor- Troubleshooting operational issues as and when required- To communicate safety alerts, lesson learned and incident sharing on time to department- To ensure employees /contractors well trained on their task- To accountable on employees /contractors safety- To intervene any unsafe behavior at site- Encourage employees /contractor to conduct peer to peer safety observation- To ensure all the operator & general worker are complying EHS rules at all the time- To make sure ideas for improvement are acted upon and will coach their teams to develop competencies. Zero tolerance will be applied if our Serious 7 critical standards are breached. Managers relentlessly look for opportunities to reduce risk exposure and will never let production priorities compromise safety.- Liaise with Government agency & Local Authority such as JMG, Land Office, etc

- Degree with 5 years experience & Mining & Geological knowledge
