Biology Intern

As the Biology Intern, you will work with the R&D Team to find out what works, and what doesn't in insect farming. For example, which feed composition (texture, ingredients, nutritional value, microbe co-fermentation) best supports larvae development in their different stages? Analyse effects of environmental variables on operational metrics, like day-night cycles, atmospheric pressure, light spectrum, ventilation, emissions etc. You role as an Biology intern will make meaningful research discoveries, Making Insects Work for You and the World. Interns will be given a project to manage, report and present by the end of the internship period. We’re flexible to adjust the project based on your interests and skills. This internship runs for 3-6 months. **Responsibilities**: - Design an experimental setup for your research project. - Collect the data and derive reliable conclusions. - Support and assist R&D team to plan, develop and execute R&D activities. - Assist in planning and developing the R&D pipeline and infrastructure, including potentially working with 3rd party research partners. - Maintain laboratory and lab equipment. - Making sure you gain the most out of your internship experience. **Requirements**: - Excellent written and spoken English; you're a confident and concise communicator. - Able to think on your feet, inquisitive, curious, analytical and strong focus on evidence
