**Role Mission**

The mission of the Accounting & Compliance Office is to ensure monthly closing and all other compliance deadlines are met with the highest standard.

**Key outcomes expected from this role**

**1. Monthly closing & consolidation**: Make sure monthly closing and group consolidation can be published on time with no errors. Strengthen the current accounting processes and SOP to enhance the posting efficiency.

**2. Compliances**:Make sure compliance deadlines for all 6 Lumos entities are met.

**Key Responsibilities**

**1. **Responsible for a full spectrum of accounting activities including 6 full set accounts, 6 reporting packs, and monthly consolidation. Must ensure the reporting is prepared on a timely basis with accuracy and completeness always maintained at a satisfactory level.

**2. **Maintain good record of accounting entries and ensure that data in accounting systems are up-to-date at all times by performing the following:

- Day-to-day posting of AR and AP modules.
- Weekly bank reconciliations.
- Monthly GL adjustment & posting.
- Quarterly intercompany billings.
- Yearly GL adjustment & posting.

**3. **Make recommendations to improve and enhance existing accounting procedures and SOPs.

**4. **Make recommendations to enhance the usage of functions available in XERO.

**5. **Manage the compliance deadlines of all 6 entities, which should cover the following:

- Yearly financial statement preparation & adjustment for filing and publication.
- Yearly corporate tax estimate and tax return filing.
- Monthly and quarterly VAT tax return filing.

**6. **Fully in charge and liaise with our external auditors in relation to all audit matters and ensure deadlines are met.

**7. **Responsible for managing all external service providers such as the company secretaries, tax agents, and accounting firms.

**8. **Facilitate and assist with enquiries from all relevant authorities in relation to compliance matters.

**Job Requirements**

**3. **Degree in Accounting or Finance and/ or professional accounting qualification such as ACCA/ICAEW or its equivalent from a recognized institution.

**4.** Minimum 3 years of experience in the accounting field.

**5. **Must be proficient in English (both oral and written) and Mandarin (written).

**6. **Previous experience with XERO is an added advantage.

**7. **Willingness to adapt and learn in a dynamic, early-stage company environment.

**8.** Willing to learn and deepen your knowledge in treasury/cash management function.

**9.** Good attitude, independent, organized, results-oriented & able to work within timelines.

**10. **Strong attention to detail and not careless. High integrity and trustworthiness in dealing with sensitive information.

**11.** Team player with excellent communication & interpersonal skills and have the ability to communicate well with various levels.
