Zookeeper

**JOB RESPONSIBLITIES: -**

**Animal Care**
- Takes care of petting zoo animals, including dogs.
- Performs daily cleaning and sanitation of animal enclosures.
- Prepares and distributes food to assigned animals.
- Maintains a safe and hygienic living environment for the animals.
- Monitors animal health and behavior, reporting any abnormalities to supervisors.
- May assist with animal enrichment activities and training (depending on experience).

**Visitor Experience**
- Interacts with visitors in a professional, friendly, and informative manner.
- Educates visitors about the animals and the zoo's mission.
- Enforces safety regulations and ensures visitor adherence to designated guidelines within animal sections.

**Operations**
- Assists with receiving animal supplies and disposing of waste.
- Maintains a clean and organized work area within the animal sections.
- Collaborates effectively with other zookeepers to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Performs heavy cleaning tasks, including cleaning animal poop.

**JOB QUALIFICATIONS: -**
- Patience, teamwork skills, and a strong sense of responsibility.
- Prior experience working with animals is preferred.
- Knowledge of animal training and enrichment techniques is a bonus.
- Ability to tolerate the physical demands of the job, including working outdoors in various weather conditions and handling animal waste.
- A passion for animal welfare and a strong commitment to visitor safety are essential.
- The ability to learn quickly and adapt to new situations is important.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required to effectively interact with both animals and visitors.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: RM1,500.00 - RM2,000.00 per month

Schedule:

- Fixed shift
- Holidays
- Rotational shift
- Weekend jobs

Supplemental pay types:

- Attendance bonus
- Overtime pay
- Performance bonus
