Our client is a shared service entity of a global manufacturing company and currently, they are looking for a Regional External Audit & Regulatory Liaison Specialist to join them.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Establishing a Regulatory and Statutory Reporting Framework for the Asia Pacific region.
- Assisting in the preparation of Statutory Financial Statements and collaborating with auditors, consultants, and the global shared service team to ensure timely and accurate financial close and audits.
- Ensuring that statutory audit tasks are conducted in accordance with the Group Reporting Requirements and Internal Control System of the Company.
- Coordinating and following up with auditors to ensure timely progress in the audit, Group reporting, and closure.
- Providing support for Internal Control Framework compliance with the Registrar of Companies and GEMs.
- Collaborating with both internal and external auditors during financial and operational audits.
- Participating in internal audits and providing detailed insights on issues and recommendations.
- Coordinating with global shared service / In Country Teams to gather necessary audit documentation.
- Leading and coaching tax specialists in preparing local statutory reports.
- Evaluating, investigating, and rectifying errors/inconsistencies in financial entries, documentation, and supporting materials.
- Generating high-quality financial reports in a timely manner and assisting the Regional Finance team with tax compliance.
- Leading efforts to identify and implement automation opportunities for compliance activities.
- Ensuring comprehensive checks for all components of the Balance Sheet.

**Key Requirements**:

- A qualified member of an accountancy body i.e. CPA / ACCA / ICAEW.
- Must possess a Degree in Accounting.
- Must possess relevant experiences which include 4-6 years of experience in Commercial Finance & External audit, preferably from Big 4 companies.
- Must be proficient in both English and Mandarin (read, speak and write) to service stakeholders including those in Mandarin speaking countries.
- Meticulous, possess strong communication and analytical skills.
- Good with spreadsheets, software and I.T systems such as SAP.
