Cardiovascular Technologist

**JOB SUMMARY**:
Carry out clinical and administrative duties in conformance with standardized techniques and to provide quality care.

**DUTY**:

- Assist and setup related equipment for the procedures.
- Assist in maintaining equipment by following the operation instructions, policies, and procedures. Troubleshoot malfunction, report breakdown and anticipating in repair requirement.
- Perform or assist in all the non-invasive diagnostic procedures in Heart and Lung diagnostic department.
- In charge of hemodynamic monitoring during invasive cardiovascular procedures and multitasking when necessary in Cath Lab.
- Responsible for completing hemodynamic report post procedures.
- Provide medical support to doctors during consultation.
- Involve in daily emergency trolley check to ensure all drugs and equipment are in place with valid expire date.
- Involve in maintaining sufficient stock of medical and pharmacy supplies in the department.
- Check all equipment and make sure they are in working order.
- Able to be on call and on night duty.
- Perform other specific functions as deemed necessary.

**ADMINISTRATIVE WORK**:

- Greet, guide and check patient particulars to ensure correct procedure for correct patient.
- Assist in ensuring smooth day to day operation and excellent customer experience.
- Assist in correspondence works which including appointment scheduling, interoffice communication, and external correspondence.
- Aid in data entry of the department.
- Ensure proper assimilation between hospital personnel, nursing staff and others.
- Perform any other duties or participate in committees or projects that are assigned from superior.

**TRAINING AND EDUCATION**:

- Assist in the orientation of newly appointed clinical staff.
- Guide and direct activities of clinical staff as they perform procedures.
- Participate in training and education programs in or out of the organization.

**QUALITY**:

- Assist in achieving hospital and department visions, missions, and values.
- Ensure rights and dignity of patient are respected.
- Take part in all the quality and safety related initiatives and contribute towards the continuous improvement of the hospital.

**Qualification**
- Diploma or degree in cardiovascular technologist.

**Professional Experience**
- New graduate.
- Working experience >3 in relevant field will be an added advantage.
