Marketing Content Creator

**The Role**

**Reporting to: Head of Marketing and Communications**

The Master wishes to appoint an enthusiastic, Marketing Content Creator who is adept at photography and with excellent skills and knowledge to be responsible for ensuring our website and social media channels accurately reflect life at Marlborough College Malaysia (MCM) and enhance our reputation in Malaysia, in the region and beyond as one of the world’s leading schools.

Marketing Content Creator will be employed during academic term time and will benefit from teachers’ holidays and Exeats. There will be opportunities to accompany trips, activities and fixtures, many of which are likely to be in Singapore, other areas of Malaysia or on the stunning east coast of the South China Sea.

**Key Responsibilities**
- To work as part of a team, in harmony with and for the furtherance of the College’s ethos and declared educational aims and priorities
- To be supportive of the department’s aims, agreed teaching style and other policies
- Produce and edit content for MCM’s social media channels and website
- Write copy for and coordinate press releases and other MCM communications
- Photography and management of the photographic library
- Assist at key marketing events including sports tournaments for example
- General support to the Admissions and Marketing Team
- To attend Common Room meetings, Master’s briengs and other meetings that may be called from time to time, as required by the Head of School or Master
- To report in a timely manner any concerns regarding Child Protection or bullying to the appropriate colleague
- To contribute to College’s broad and active co-curricular activities programme
- To contribute to the boarding community

**Essential Skills and Abilities**
- A good honours degree
- Energy and enthusiasm
- An ability to work well within and contribute to a team environment
- Native level fluency in spoken and written English
- Clear and effective communication skills in flawless English
- Ability to write clearly, accurately and concisely
- An ability to relate well to colleagues and children
- Approachability, accessibility and flexibility
- High levels of organisation and an ability to prioritise and manage multiple projects
- Sympathy with the values and the nature of working in a boarding environment
- An excellent eye for detail Essential Skills and Abilities
- Confident with content creation platforms such as Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop etc)

Capable photographer Desirable skills and qualifications
- Experience working in a marketing/ communications role
- Experience of working within an education environment
- Video production and editing skills
- Relevant marketing qualification

**Terms and Conditions**

**Hours of Work**

Normal working hours are 8.00am - 5.00pm, Monday to Friday during term-time, plus a maximum of 25 additional work days out of termtime; however, the Marketing Content Creator will need to work some evenings and on weekends, during term-time, to support the efficient operation of the College.
