**Job Description**:

- Job Overview:
As a Commis, you will play a crucial role in assisting the kitchen team with food preparation and ensuring the highest quality of dishes are served to guests. You will work under the supervision of the Kitchen Manager.

**Responsibilities**:
Food Preparation: Assist in the preparation of ingredients, such as chopping, slicing, and marinating, as directed by senior chefs. Ensure that all food items are prepared in a timely and efficient manner, adhering to the required standards.
Cooking Assistance: Assist in cooking and plating dishes according to the recipes and guidelines provided by the Chef de Partie.
Stock Management: Assist in receiving and inspecting deliveries of food supplies, ensuring that they meet quality standards. Properly store ingredients and maintain stock rotation to minimize wastage.
Hygiene and Sanitation: Adhere to all food safety and hygiene standards, maintaining a clean and sanitized work environment.
Equipment Maintenance: Assist in the cleaning and maintenance of kitchen equipment, such as knives, ovens, grills, and other utensils.
Team Collaboration: Work closely with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
Quality Control: Assist in monitoring the quality and presentation of dishes, ensuring they meet the restaurant's standards before they are served to guests.
Learning and Development: Show enthusiasm for learning and improving culinary skills. Take feedback positively and use it to enhance performance and knowledge in the kitchen.
Job Requirements:
3 years experience as a Commis or relevant culinary training is preferred.
We are willing to train individuals with a passion for cooking and a strong willingness to learn.
Have basic knowledge of food preparation techniques, kitchen equipment, and food safety standards.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality dishes.
Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
