Job Summary

The CAM Programmer will be based in Skudai,Johor. The CAM Programmer is responsible for creating machine programs utilizing 2D & 3D engineering and machine programming software in a fast-paced manufacturing facility.Additionally, will be in charge of technical process, machine troubleshooting, productivity, rejection, scrap, setup and machine utilization.

Here is a glimpse of what you’ll do:

- Create CAD/CAM machine programs using SolidWorks and AutoCAD files
- Optimize machine programs and nest for optimal time and material usage
- Assist in manufacturing & process engineering projects for R&D and continuous improvement of manufacturing processes
- Adhere to programming schedule to support production needs and meet customer delivery dates
- Develop expertise on various machine tools and processes
- Check/audit drawings and programs created by other team members
- Legacy conversion of drawings, creating 3D solid, surface modelling, and preparing Detail drawings, Assembly of Components and Creating Bill of Materials.
- Involved in Product Design and Reverse Engineering. Product Relationships Check - Product & Drawing Relationships.
- Responsible for the trouble shooting and servicing of tools those running for the production of the precision components
- Other duties to meet business needs

Here is some of what you’ll need:

- Diploma/Degree in Plastic Engineering or related discipline. Additional diploma on tool design course will be an added advantage
- At least 10 years of related experiences in plastic molding tool design and development

Here are a few of our preferred experiences:

- Good knowledge of MS Office, Auto CAD, UG NX 10 & 11, Mold Flow, Moldex, ,3D/2D drawing, CNC Programming, EDM, Wire-cut
