Azure Specialist

**The Team**

The Cloud & Infrastructure team covers both Azure and traditional infrastructure environments including Logicalis Hosted Cloud, customers on premise hardware as well as hosted datacentres. We work with the leading focus to be one of Australia’s most capable truly hybrid integration teams. We work with Microsoft Azure to assist customers with their modernisation and migration journey. The Azure Specialist role plays an integral role in helping our customers achieve this.

**About the Role**

We are looking for an **Azure Specialist** to join our growing team. In this role you will be working with our enterprise customers helping them to successfully build, implement and automate public cloud infrastructure. You will have an opportunity to showcase your emerging technical expertise with Azure solutions and your understanding of Azure services.
- Assist with design, build and configuration of scalable, secure, and reliable cloud architectures on the Microsoft Azure platform.
- Assist deploying Azure solutions using the IaC toolsets.
- Assist in the lifecycle of the workload migration process from On-prem (VMware/Hyper-V) to Azure.
- Attend technical workshops, assist in designs and documentation.
- Ability to communicate technical designs, issues and resolutions clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Prepare and deliver As-Built and Standard Operating Procedures and conduct handover transfer with our customers and/or managed services department
- Assist with managing client expectations with the Project Management team.
- Develop and maintain cloud infrastructure components such as virtual machines, storage accounts, networking configurations, and security controls.
- Some experience in building and deploying, networking and security technologies in cloud and hybrid environments.

- Minimum of 3 years of experience working in a technical role with a focus on Microsoft Azure.
- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent qualification) in software development, computer science,
- business intelligence, information technology, data management, or other related fields, as well as IT industry experience
- In-depth knowledge of Azure services such as virtual machines, networking, storage, databases, and security.
- Demonstrated experience in building and deploying Azure Solutions using one or more IaC toolsets such as terraform, Bicep, ARM, PowerShell etc.
- Demonstrated experience in automating some or the most parts of migration process from Onprem to Azure using Azure Migrate
- Proficiency in PowerShell scripting for task automation and system administration.
- Knowledge and exposure to Azure Devops framework and best practices
- Azure certifications such as Azure Solutions Architect Expert or Azure DevOps Engineer Expert are highly desirable
