**Introduction to the Job**

Safely and efficiently operates the OSAS Quay Crane to lift, move, position, or place freight cargo/goods to/from vessels as well as in and around port operational areas. Ensure the OSAS Quay Crane are always in excellent operating condition.
- Train and coach new crane operator
- Operate the OSAS quay crane
- Perform routine BOS and EOS inspections.
- Provide feedback on operational and technical problems to the maintenance team.
- Request for crane refueling.
- Assist maintenance team during preventive maintenance.

**Job description
**Main Accountabilities:

- To train and provide the necessary support for the new and external crane operator.
- Conduct pre-operational inspection to ensure cranes are appropriately checked to be in good working condition prior start any lifting operation.
- Review the Crane Operator Requisition documents prior to the lifting operation to ensure the operator fully understands the scope of works, type, and weight of loads, risks, and limitations for each particular operation.
- Perform routine maintenance work such as cleaning and lubricating of wire ropes and rotating parts.
- Ensure crane is always in good condition, clean, and stays operational readiness in order to maintain the efficiency of crane performance.
- Report immediately to supervisor if there is any failure or system interruption for all safety devices.
- Ensure communications between operator and signalman have been properly established before starting any lifting operation. For example Walkie Talkie is provided to signalmen using a unique radio channel-specific for lifting operation.
- Report daily activity using DPR and submit to supervisor for verifications.
- Register all lifting activities into Logbook.
- Ensure Lifting & Rigging equipment/appliance are properly inspected prior to lifting operation.
- Involved in the operations related to daily receiving, loading/unloading activity, equipment preparation, packaging, and cycle counting, as and when required.
- Provide support during mobilization/demobilization and maintenance works
- Continuously contribute ideas and feedback to improve the crane spare part management
- Perform other duties and functions as may be required by Superior.
- Comply with BEST Vision, Quality, Health and Safety policies

**You are meant for this job if
**Qualifications:

- Minimum SPM or Vocational Certificate with valid JKKP Certificate.

**Experience**:

- Minimum 5 years with good safety track record in handling mobile/crawler crane with capacity above 250Te.

Proficiency & Skills:

- Strong & Excellent HSE awareness mindset
- Hands-on experience in operation and maintenance of Manitowoc Crane 4600S
- Able to read/write and communicate in English.
- Able to interpret the lifting plan.
