Laboratory Assistant

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Lab Assistant to join our manufacturing team
- The Lab Assistant will play a vital role in supporting the production process by performing various laboratory tasks to ensure product quality and compliance with industry standards.

This position is essential for maintaining the accuracy and efficiency of our manufacturing operations.

Job Description:

- Assist in the preparation and setup of laboratory equipment and materials for testing and analysis.
- Conduct routine quality control tests on raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods according to established protocols.
- Record and document test results accurately in laboratory notebooks and computer databases.
- Maintain laboratory equipment, ensuring it is calibrated and in good working order.
- Prepare chemical solutions, reagents, and media as required for testing.
- Collect, label, and store samples in accordance with standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Assist in the development and validation of new testing methods and procedures.
- Ensure the laboratory is well-stocked with necessary supplies and reagents.
- Adhere to all safety and quality standards, including proper handling and disposal of hazardous materials.
- Assist in the maintenance of a clean and organized laboratory environment.
- Collaborate with the production team to address any quality issues or discrepancies.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Lab Manager or Production Manager.

Job Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent; an associate degree or higher in a related field (e.g., chemistry, biology, materials science) is preferred.

Previous experience in a manufacturing laboratory or quality control environment is advantageous.

Familiarity with laboratory equipment and quality control procedures.

Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.

Ability to follow detailed instructions and work independently or as part of a team.

Good communication skills and the ability to report findings clearly and accurately.

Understanding of safety protocols and regulatory compliance in a manufacturing setting.

Pay: RM1,600.00 - RM2,000.00 per month
