Production Welder

1. To be able to read the engineering drawing, specifications, weld symbols (ISO and AWS) bills of materials; Weld joint prep; Hand plasma and oxy/fuel torches.

2. To be able to do welding Machine Set-up; Mig/Tig welding and handcrafting of carbon, stainless steel and low alloy steel using solid and flux-cored wire. Finishing of welds (chipping, grinding, sanding)

3. To utilize handheld tools such as a hand held screw gun, drill gun and grinders.

4. To operate calipers, weld gauges, tape measures and other welding hand tools.

5. To continually evaluate weld machine performance and technology to improves cycle times.

6. To perform quality work checks to ensure the product meets quality standards.

7. To perform all work in accordance with quality standards and established safety procedures.

1. A recognized Certificate or Diploma in Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering or Diploma in Welding & Fabrication from technical institute.

2. Minimum 3 years of working experience in sheet material fabrication or engineering field.

3. Practical hands-on competency.

4. Able to work under pressure and work independently.

5. Able to work in Nilai.

1. Professional Certificate (e.g a CSWIP 3.0 & 3.1 level & AWS welding certificate) will be a plus.

2. Overhead crane handling skills.

3. Troubleshooting and decision making.

1. Fixed Basic Salary (RM2,500 - RM3,000) + EPF + SOCSO + EIS + OT.
