The Oracle Application Functional Manager is responsible for the leading design and development of solutions for Oracle EBS and integrated tools/technologies. This role will be responsible for strategic and tactical advice and partner with customers, functional business analysts and other team members in driving appropriate design and implementation of functional solutions to meet desired business requirements. This role will provide direction to the team, lead projects, and act as a liaison among stakeholders in order to elicit, analyze, communicate, and validate requirements for changes to business processes, policies and information systems. Proactively seek opportunities to improve business processes and leverage standard functionality. Provide technical and business knowledge to ensure the Manufacturing and Distribution modules are configured & leveraged to SW’s best advantage. Conduct detailed research of vendor products and assists with general project management. Will be responsible for leading and directing a group of functional specialists under the guidance of Global functional Services Manager. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. The role requires understanding of business issues and opportunities in the context of the requirements and recommends solutions while taking ownership for ensuring support in coordination with the other managers. Additionally, shared service functional manager will work with business, functional and technical teams to track projects and project deliverables, enhancement requests, manage reporting, training needs, functional standards, data consistency, assess impact, coordinate and conduct testing. Proactively seek opportunities to improve business processes and leverage standard functionality.
The incumbent will possess knowledge in the Oracle e-Business suite, Oracle toolset and Application framework. This role will provide proactive guidance for solution design with internal and external systems to facilitate maximum utilization of the Oracle Applications for business success and recommends solutions that enable the organization to achieve its goal. Provide leadership guidance for global implementations, project and support.

**Strategy & Planning**
- Proactively seek opportunities for support reduction through effective training, root cause analyses and process refinement
- Strives to keep knowledge and expertise current with new releases, technology advances and analyzes potential opportunities and risks in adopting upcoming versions of software
- Actively engage business management to ensure business needs are met
- Recommend business process improvements.
- Work with management to generate quarterly work plans including estimation of time and resource allocation for proposals.
- Determine staffing and skills requirements.
- Drive change. Proactively mentor the shared service team in processes, best practices and troubleshooting and testing tools.
**Acquisition & Deployment**
- Plan and organize tasks, report progress, manage & coordinate with team members for implementations.
- Ensure that any new software integration into company systems meets functional requirements, system compliance, and interface specifications.
- Coordinate feasibility studies for software and system products under consideration for purchase, and give advice based on findings.
- Develop, enhance and deploy user training content, procedures, troubleshooting guides
- Contribute to pre-testing phase of development by evaluating proposals to identify potential problem areas and make the appropriate recommendations.
- Liaise with company’s software suppliers for prompt rectification of any problems or emergencies. Manage proposal and support activities, plan and organize tasks, report progress, manage resources.
**Operational Management**
- Lead user sessions for requirement and testing (Prototype/Integration/Regression).
- Guides functional / technical team in the development of reports, conversions, interfaces and extensions for Oracle Applications.
- Assist users with problems and resolve issues independently.
- Provide business reports to management and clients.
- Conduct activities like staffing, performance and resource management, and strategic direction of the team.
- Provide operational guidelines to ensure projects are completed within the appropriate framework.
