Technical Trainer

1. Review project specifications and Codes & Standards to develop welding procedures to guide production and welding personnel relating to specification restrictions, material processes, pre and post-heating requirements which involve use of complex alloys, unusual fabrication methods, welding of critical joints, and complex post-heating requirements. 2. To train and up-grade the welders on the proper way to handle the job independently. 3. Establish WI for the process plan and machine set-up procedure for the welding machine. 4. Develops and maintains corporate welding procedures (WPS) & welder performance qualification records (WPQRs) 5. Coordinate welding procedure qualification requirements with the metallurgical testing laboratories 6. Work as part of a team to help coordinate failure and root cause analysis on welding related issues 7. Provide technical support for and witness welder performance testing 8. To ensure the production floor / machine safety & 5S is carried out and maintained. 9. Conduct training and to qualify the welder's skills to meet Company requirements and related welding and fabrication work experience. 9. Other duties and assignments as instructed by superiors from time to time. 10. To comply to all requirements of ISO (inclusive of all standards approved by the Management) and to adhere to general safety practices, standard operating procedure, work instructions, policies and guidelines provided by the company.
