Sustainability Analyst

_**URGENT**_

The Supply Chain Sustainability Analyst develops and implements sustainability programs to enhance overall sustainability across the supply chain. They also participate in the development and implementation of policies, procedures, and programs that ensure regulatory and trade compliance, and sustainability of Steelcase suppliers.
- Manage data collection and monitoring to support compliance and sustainability for projects, focusing on the APAC region.
- Keep abreast of global sustainability regulations and assess material/chemical impacts within the APAC supply chain.
- Develop and maintain a data management system for product, material, and chemical information.
- Collaborate with teams and stakeholders to lead sustainability initiatives, ensuring value maximization.
- Communicate effectively with all parties involved in supplier engagement.
- Generate and maintain up-to-date sustainability documentation and records.
- Represent the company at sustainability events, engaging with organizations, authorities, and potential clients.
- Evaluate and advocate for sustainable practices within the supply chain.

**Skills/Abilities**
- Proven ability to understand and communicate complex technical content related to material science, chemistry, chemical engineering and other Environmental, Social and Governance topics in our supply chain
- Proven proficiency in management systems, including document control, data quality objectives and assurance procedures
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Excellent computer and data systems skills involving: Project management tools like Smartsheets, MS Suite, data management, SAP and other Steelcase ERP and engineering systems (e.g., Windchill), cloud-based collaborative software (e.g. One Drive, Sharepoint, compliance software platforms, and other (e.g. statistical software, process flow diagrams etc.)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deliverables.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills (verbal and written), including the ability to represent Steelcase on complex issues to external (and internal) audiences.
- Project development and management ability.
- Ability to manage internal and external relationships.

An educational background in Sustainable Development, Environmental Science, Green Chemistry, or Green Supply Chain would be relevant to a career in Supply Chain Sustainability Analysis. Having a degree or certification in any of these areas would provide a strong foundation for understanding environmental and social responsibility practices within supply chain operations. Additionally, experience or education in project management, data analysis, and communication would also be beneficial.
Having 1 to 2 years of experience in a sustainability-related field would be beneficial for a Supply Chain Sustainability Analyst position, but being a fresh graduate can also meet the position requirements depending on the educational background and acquired skills. It is also advantageous to have Chinese language skills since it would allow the analyst to effectively communicate with suppliers in the APAC region.

**Work arrangements**

Mon-Fri(9am-6pm)

Potential to travel to China and other parts of the region

**Salary**: RM4,000.00 - RM5,000.00 per month
