Position Objective: 1. This is a site technical position that performs the planning, scheduling and implementation of preventative, predictive and corrective maintenance, repair and troubleshooting on all equipment under the scope of the contract. Works independently or in teams in the performance of daily work to maintain the highest standards of equipment Health while complying with Safety and Security & Environment compliance and manages the technical integrity of the Covered Equipment. Works closely with customers on a daily basis. This position requires living offshore on an oil or gas platform and reports to the Senior Contract Manager. Preferred Qualifications: 1. Should have proven capability in the development, analysis and optimization of maintenance schedules, plans, procedures, and costs. Knowledge of predictive maintenance and Reliability Center Maintenance techniques would be an advantage. Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills are required along with the ability to contribute in a dynamic team environment A high productivity level and sense of urgency, strong verbal and written communication skills, good business judgment, willingness to travel, and a customer focused approach. A high level of computer literacy. Proven track record of safety compliance/improvement Accountabilities for this position includes: 1. Interfaces with MMS Lead Technician and Customer on a daily basis. 2. Execute planned maintenance activities, and the implementation of preventative, predictive and corrective maintenance, repair and troubleshooting on gas turbines, power generation, compression and mechanical drive sets and associated balance of plant systems. 3. Perform day to day routine maintenance activities including the troubleshooting of Solar Turbine gas turbine generating, compression, and ancillary equipment. 4. Effectively assist in the communication, notification, and the immediate investigation/inspection of equipment failure or abnormal operating limits and/or conditions without compromising safety. 5. Support and assists with planned maintenance scheduling, materials, and resources. 6. Communicate equipment status and assists in the planning of future maintenance plans. 7. Performs basic and INTERMEDIATE planned maintenance activities and assists with advanced and major maintenance activities. 8. Assist in the planning and execute engine exchanges and alignment activities of the driver and driven equipment. 9. Starts and stops, monitors, and adjusts equipment under. Communicates and documents status and condition of equipment. 10. Perform upkeep and housekeeping tasks to maintain a safe and clean work environment. 11. Responsible for the documentation of: Daily inspection logs, operations and maintenance activities, parts usage and inventory consumption, etc. Perform other duties and administrative tasks as assigned by direct management or supervisors. 12. Maximize availability/reliability of equipment under the scope of the contract without compromising safety. Be fully conversant and ensure compliance with Solar and customer HSSE policies and procedures. Strict adherence to the work permit system. 13. Report any accidents or incidents, near misses, or safety observations in a timely manner. Evaluate, recommend, and where appropriate implement safety improvements. 14. Assists in the Root Cause Analysis process for failure or malfunctioning equipment cause and resolution 15. Performs and/or assists in the immediate analysis and repair actions to resolve equipment deviation identified as “out of limits” or abnormal conditions. 16. Perform qualified “Authorized Employee” tasks or specific administrative tasks as assigned by site supervisor (Lead Technician) or direct manager (Fleet Manager). Including Primary coordinator responsibility assignments. Competencies/Qualifications: 1. Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering with 5 - 7 years relevant experience or a bachelor’s degree in Engineering with 3-5 years relevant experience with rotating equipment will be preferred. (Mechanical, Instrumentation, Controls) 2. Meets physical requirements for position: Pass Petronas Offshore Medical and Obtain BOSIET 3. Complete and maintain required safety training & “Authorized Employee” qualifications 4. Complete and maintain required technical training and qualifications 5. Possess advance computer skills
