As a Commis, you will play a vital role in supporting the culinary operations within our establishment. You will work closely with chefs and kitchen staff to prepare high-quality dishes, contributing to the overall success of our culinary team. This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a professional kitchen environment and develop your culinary skills.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Food Preparation: Assist in the preparation of ingredients and mise en place according to recipes and specifications provided by the chef. This includes cutting, chopping, peeling, and other basic food preparation tasks.

2. Cooking: Execute cooking tasks under the supervision of senior kitchen staff. This may involve tasks such as grilling, sautéing, frying, and baking.

3. Plating: Assist in the plating and presentation of dishes, ensuring that each plate meets the established standards for quality and visual appeal.

4. Sanitation: Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen area at all times. Adhere to food safety and sanitation standards, including proper storage and handling of food products.

5. Inventory Management: Assist in the rotation and storage of ingredients and supplies to ensure freshness and minimize waste. Notify senior staff when supplies need to be replenished.

6. Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other members of the kitchen team to ensure smooth and efficient operations. Communicate effectively with chefs and other staff members to coordinate tasks and ensure timely service.

7. Compliance: Adhere to all relevant health, safety, and hygiene regulations. Follow company policies and procedures regarding food handling, sanitation, and workplace safety.

Qualifications:

- Basic knowledge of food preparation techniques and cooking methods.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and presentation.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Pay: RM1,700.00 - RM2,300.00 per month
