Stone Setter

**Responsibilities**:

- **Stone Knowledge**: Possess extensive knowledge of both precious and non-precious stones, including their properties, characteristics, and grading standards.
- **Quality Assurance**: Conduct thorough inspections to check the quality of stones, ensuring they meet the company's standards for clarity, color, and cut.
- **Setting Techniques**: Demonstrate proficiency in various types of stone settings, such as prong, bezel, pave, and channel, while following industry best practices.
- **Design Implementation**: Set stones according to design specifications, technical drawings, or instructions provided, ensuring precise placement and alignment.
- **Stone Preservation**: Handle and set stones with utmost care, ensuring no damage is caused during the setting process.
- **Material Verification**: Verify the quantity of gold, gemstones, diamonds, silver, or platinum received in each order, maintaining accurate records and reporting any discrepancies to the relevant authorities.
- **Waste Management**: Control the wastage of materials used during the setting process, implementing efficient practices to minimize material loss.
- **Production Targets**:Strive to achieve the production targets set by the company, demonstrating efficiency, attention to detail, and the ability to meet deadlines.
- **Quality Standards**: Maintain a high level of craftsmanship and adhere to the quality standards established by the company, ensuring every piece meets the desired level of excellence.
- **Inventory Management**:Safeguard all gold, gemstones, and other valuable materials by securely storing them in designated boxes or storage units, maintaining accurate records of inventory.
- **Equipment Maintenance**:Take responsibility for the maintenance and upkeep of all equipment and tools used in the setting process, ensuring they are in proper working condition.
- **Security and Safety**: Strictly adhere to all security procedures and safety rules and regulations to ensure a secure and hazard-free working environment.
- **Collaboration and Flexibility**:Collaborate with team members and follow instructions provided by immediate superiors, contributing to a cohesive work environment.

**Qualifications**:

- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Setter in the jewellery industry.
- Proficiency in various stone setting techniques and knowledge of different stone types.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity for precise stone setting.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to execute accurate settings.
- Familiarity with inventory management and quality control processes.
- Ability to meet production targets without compromising quality standards.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Strict adherence to security and safety protocols.

**Salary**: RM2,500.00 - RM3,500.00 per month
