Auditor Job Duties: Ensures compliance with established internal control procedures by examining records, reports, operating practices, and documentation. Verifies assets and liabilities by comparing items to documentation. Completes audit workpapers by documenting audit tests and findings. Appraises adequacy of internal control systems by completing audit questionnaires. Maintains internal control systems by updating audit programs and questionnaires; recommending new policies and procedures. Communicates audit findings by preparing a final report; advising management on needed actions. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. Accounting Job Duties: Examining bank statements and reconciling them with general ledger entries Keeping an eye on incoming payments from accounts receivable and outgoing payments from accounts payable Creating company financial reports with the above information included Analysing data collected in order to determine the state of the company’s financial health Generating financial reports that display the company’s profits, equity and cash flow
