The Mechanical sourcing team seeks someone who is awesome and worthy of joining the best commodity team on earth and beyond. As a player in the Internet of Everything, you’re going to change the way we work, live, play and learn through your sourcing of mechanical solutions. As a Sourcing Commodity Manager, you will face new challenges every day in a fun, exhilarating, and fast-paced work environment. Our team works with Cisco's Suppliers, Engineers, Marketers and Quality teams to select best in class mechanical solutions that push the limits of Physics. You’re an innovator and you love technology, particularly technology that involves electrons.

What You'll Do

You’re going to lead the engagement, negotiation, selection, and prototyping of mechanical components to make sure our new products get to our customers in time and under budget.

You'll not only be joining a team that formulates great strategies and executes them, but a fun group that consists of a personal trainer, world traveler, inventor, and chef. We’re a close knit group who support each other to be successful at work and play.

You have business experience, technical knowledge, people skills, aren’t intimidated by titles and can work with people toward a shared goal.

You'll use your ability to influence, both inside and outside Cisco, to make sure we execute our strategy. Your top negotiation skills are used daily so that Cisco has a competitive advantage and our customers love our products.

Who You Are
- Strong Mechanical industry knowledge
- BA/BS or equivalent plus 5 years’ experience (preferably in a technical or commercial field)
- Strategy formulation and execution experience
- Experienced with working and influencing at the executive level
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes and procedures
- Project management experience desired
- Trained and skilled negotiator

U.S. employees have
**access** to quality medical, dental and vision insurance, a 401(k) plan with a Cisco matching contribution, short and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance and numerous wellbeing offerings. Employees receive up to twelve paid holidays per calendar year, which includes one floating holiday, plus a day off for their birthday. Employees accrue up to 20 days of Paid Time Off (PTO) each year and have access to paid time away to deal with critical or emergency issues without tapping into their PTO. We offer additional paid time to volunteer and give back to the community. Employees are also able to purchase company stock through our Employee Stock Purchase Program.

Employees on sales plans earn performance-based incentive pay on top of their base salary, which is split between quota and non-quota components. For quota-based incentive pay, Cisco pays at the standard rate of 1% of incentive target for each 1% revenue attainment against the quota up to 100%. Once performance exceeds 100% quota attainment, incentive rates may increase up to five times the standard rate with no cap on incentive compensation. For non-quota-based sales performance elements such as strategic sales objectives, Cisco may pay up to 125% of target. Cisco sales plans do not have a minimum threshold of performance for sales incentive compensation to be paid.
